hen it comes to setting trends and being iconic, Paris Hilton is no stranger. After decades in the spotlight, her sense of fashion is all too familiar. From her pink-colored velour tracksuits of the early 2000s to her evolved pink fits of recent years, the style star has proven to be a mainstay in fashion conversations. Throughout her style evolution, Hilton’s love for sunglasses has been undeniable. It’s no surprise that in 2022, she released the QUAY X PARIS sunglasses line — a collaboration with the Australian sunnies brand. Featuring 12 impressive designs, the sunglasses paint a picture of the Paris Hilton aesthetic we’ve come to know over the years, boasting bold and fabulous styles.

Other than her fashion influence, Hilton is also a prolific entrepreneur, owning various businesses and brands. In our previous post discussing the announcement of her first child, we highlighted how Hilton chronicled her multi-day wedding celebration in 2022 with the reality show “Paris in Love.” On her website, she describes herself as “a pioneer in television, podcasting and NFTs and an innovator in building businesses, social media and celebrity branding.” In 2006, she founded her multi-billion-dollar company, Paris Hilton Entertainment (now known as 11:11 Media) which has grown to become “a full-stop, integrated media and product company with verticals covering TV, podcasts, digital, licensing, NFTs, music, impact, and more.”

Of course, not all of us have the privilege of being a global hotel and resort chain heiress, but that doesn’t mean we can’t look it. By simply emulating Paris Hilton’s eye for playful, girly fashion and her penchant for sunglasses, you’re sure to look the part. Below, we’ll be sharing some tips for coping Paris Hilton’s sunglasses looks without breaking the bank.

Check out how to copy Paris Hilton’s sunglasses looks like a true hotel heiress…

#1. Consider glittery frames

One of the best ways to get Paris Hilton’s sunglasses look is to channel her more glittery side. Hilton is often seen wearing sparkling dresses paired with sunnies that are just as sparkly. Today, fashion brands like Gucci have a sweet lineup of embellished sunglasses that are sure to make an impact. In fact, Paris herself has been seen in the Gucci GG0212S, a half-rimmed sunglasses covered in pearls. You can opt for other shades that feature pearls, gems, or other sparkly materials to emulate Hilton’s look.

#2. Try heart-shaped sunglasses

Over the years, Paris has cultivated a collection of heart-shaped sunnies. Paris’ heart-shaped frames range from Barbiecore pink options to chic white colorways. Fortunately, you don’t have to break the bank on designer sunglasses to look the part. Many affordable eyewear brands have heart-shaped and love-inspired models that are just right. For instance, brands like Sun Amore offer heart-shaped black sunglasses in a rimless design that is absolutely trendy. If you’re a fan of bolder silhouettes, you can also opt for the Priya heart sunglasses, which come in rose gold or shiny red temples.

#3. Favor chunky white sunglasses

Finally, you can opt for the classic, retro-inspired chunky white shades. Today, many thick white frames are inspired by 60s cat eyes and oversized lenses. Paris has been seen wearing these occasionally — with some instances more iconic and memorable than others.

In 2023, Paris revealed that she’s a fan of old pal Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West. Hilton had spotted the younger fashionista and “future entrepreneur” channeling Paris’ and Kim’s looks from the Sydney Airport in 2006. The Instagram post saw North in a velour sweatsuit and sunglasses while her friend donned Paris’ cap, a striped shirt, and, of course — chunky white sunglasses. The caption appropriately named the real-life inspirations behind the looks, with the clip set to Kardashian’s 2011 song, “Jam (Turn It Up).”

In summary

To wrap up, you don’t need to spend lots of money — or be a Hilton — to nail Paris’ fashionable sunglasses looks. When in doubt, simply think back to her many paparazzi snaps and red-carpet photos from the fabulous 2000s. Paris is known for rocking fashion trends on and off the red carpet, so get your most stylish-looking sweatsuit and pair it with some embellished shades or heart frames.
