RHOC's Heather Dubrow on if She’s Being Used as “Scapegoat” for Shannon’s Relationship Drama, Says Tamra Owes Her an Apology, & Shares Update With Jeff Lewis as Terry Shares How She Saved Him During Medical Scare

Heather Dubrow addressed the drama surrounding her comments about Shannon Beador and John Janssen‘s since-ended relationship on Wednesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

While suggesting the reaction of Tamra Judge, 55, and Emily Simpson, 47, was “worse,” saying that Tamra owes her an apology, and offering an update on where she stands with Gina Kirschenheiter, 39, the Real Housewives of Orange County star, 54, was joined by her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, 64, who opened up about his recent health scare.

“I can you tell you that I had symptoms of a stroke due to an anatomical defect in my heart and that, I’m gonna try to say this without crying, but the only reason I’m standing here today and not six feet under is because of my best friend, and my beloved wife’s insistence that I go to the emergency room and get checked out,” Terry revealed on the August 9 episode of the WWHL: After Show. “She saved my life. So that’s just the way it goes so what can I say? I love my wife. She saved my life.”

“I have a scheduled breakdown on September 8th. Do not do this to me right now,” Heather replied.

Then, when Andy Cohen, 55, noted that Terry basically “started having a stroke” while out to dinner, and Heather described it as a “bad episode, Andy revealed that the Botched cast member was hesitant to seek medical care.

“You are a doctor. You’re very confident. You understand things that a lot of us don’t about the human body but you really, as I heard, really fought back for like an hour and refused to go to the hospital and kept saying to her, ‘I’m fine. I’m fine,’” Andy detailed. “So tell me the lesson here because you did wind up going and you found what?”

According to Terry, he, like fellow celebrities Emilia Clarke, 36, and Hailey Bieber, 26, had “a hole in [his] heart.”

“The lesson here is if you or someone is having trouble speaking, is having a bad headache, has partial paralysis, even if it lasts only a minute, like it did with me, you, until you rule out otherwise, are having a stroke and you only have a few hours to get to the hospital and dissolve that clot. Otherwise, you could have a major stroke and 60% of people die,” he shared.

Terry went on to praise wife Heather, saying, “That woman in that chair, despite me telling her, ‘Stop embarrassing me in front of the TMZ bus that’s driving by,’ persisted, followed me in an Uber and called my best friends who are doctors and they convinced me to go to the hospital and she literally saved my life.”

“By the way,” he added, “had she not listened to me, I would’ve gone on a plane to come out to see you Andy, and I would’ve had more blood clots from that plane flight and I definitely would not have survived.”

Meanwhile, on the live broadcast of WWHL, Heather reacted to her reconciliation with Jeff Lewis , 53, which Jeff discussed on WWHL earlier this week.

“Jeff and I have run into each other and it was really nice and I appreciated many things he said to me and I liked speaking with him and I’ll leave it there,” she stated.

As for his claim that her style is “masculine,” Heather asked, “Really? I’ll give you a comment about that later.”

Although Shannon and Gina have been feuding online for days, Heather said she was unaware of their spats.

“They are? I’ve been busy,” she explained, noting that she and Gina are “good” at the moment.

Heather also said she was grateful to Gina for her efforts to stand up for her as Tamra and Taylor Armstrong, 52, discussed her IMDb page, even though it didn’t seem that way amid the season.

“I so appreciated what Gina was trying to do for me but at the moment, you know, when someone, you look them in the face and you say, ‘Did you say this,’ and they say, ‘No,’ it’s hard to say, ‘You’re a liar.’ So I appreciate Gina for what she was trying to do for me as a friend,” she admitted.

Then, during a game in which she was asked, “Do they owe you a huge apology?,” Heather said Tamra owes her an apology for mentioning her amid the drama surrounding Shannon and John drama, and Shannon owes her an apology for mentioning rumors of Terry’s alleged infidelity.

She also said Shannon owes an apology to producers for her freak-out.

As the episode continued, a caller wanted to know why Heather commented about Shannon’s relationship with John after being in hot water previously due to her statements about David Beador.

“That’s an interesting question,” Heather began. “I actually tried to avoid the David conversation and thought I was helping by not bringing to light what I knew to the detriment of myself in that season… [That went] not well.”

Heather was then asked if she was being used as a scapegoat for talking about Shannon and John, even though Emily and Tamra were also guilty of gossiping.

“Some people talk about things off camera and some people actually talk about them on camera and bring them on the show to create now a storyline that the whole world is talking about, which is worse,” she noted.

“And you’re saying you were not talking about it on camera?” Andy asked.

“I mean, it’s a longer answer, but all I’m saying is, I did it,” Heather confirmed.

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
