ith regards to fashion, the new year has been a soothing medicine for sore eyes and a courageous boost to our wardrobes. Personally, my mood board is full of fabulous looks, and for once the challenge has become: “so many outfits, so few places to go.” How the tables can turn when celebrities choose to be outside all award season long. The Grammy week was a serial slay event, with parties and Galas thrown in excited spirits. These upbeat moments followed the iconic Paris Couture Week when stars pitched their tents on the polished sartorial camps. So far, everyone has brought their A-game this season, and for this, our weekend style remains grateful.
Check out the fun celeb outfits to replicate this weekend…
#1. Tracee Ellis Ross
Some regions are currently experiencing a snowstorm and would appreciate a warm ensemble that doesn’t swallow up their sense of fashion. Tracee Ellis Ross serves as an inspiration in this cozy Fear of God faux fur dress and statement undone corset belt for the 15 Percentage Pledge Gala, held in support of Black entrepreneurs. Wear this cuddly Mob Wife look to a Playwright’s show to command attention.
#2. Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez was decked in a Maison Valentino outfit for Paris fashion week that was hard to ignore. The look featured a turtleneck top tucked into a yellow skirt with a high-low hem and finished off with an oversized gray blazer. The boxy outfit was styled with blue shoes for even more color. Replicate this colorful outfit for a fashion show to reiterate your style sensibilities.
#3. Yvonne Orji
Right now, sequins are the IT girls of fashion. They have snuck into every style, irrespective of the event. A sequin suit, dress, jumpsuit, skirt, handbag, you name it, is always a fashionable choice. Yvonne Orji made a case for this festive-turned-everyday shimmer at the 15 Percent Pledge Gala in an Ofuure sapphire set. The fit consisted of a firm bralette, breezy pants, and a free-size jacket. A girls’ night out at the highbrow end of the city would be an appropriate event to sport this look.
#4. Victoria Monet
The details in a look are the determinant of its basic or fab-tastic state. Victoria Monet’s hooded Jagne dress and Defiance belt were a worthy pair for her appearance at the BMA Coalition charity event. The feminine edge this outfit brings to the table is a solid ten-over-ten in the books. Wear this dress to a birthday party for a classy take on bodycon but let the details go awff.
#5. Halle Bailey
In style and stature, Halle Bailey continues to evolve into a gorgeous woman who knows her worth. At the Grammy U masterclass, the star girl joined the conversation addressing new music creatives. And to offer this wisdom, she didn’t relegate style to the background. Wearing a white sheer crop top on high-waisted wide-leg pants, she played with subtle details that stood the fit out. Sporting this cool look for a midday meet and greet is a great weekend fashion tip.
#6. Letoya Luckett
Draped in a gorgeous Rick Owen white number, Letoya Luckett attended the Black Music Collective event. The one-shoulder dress had an overflowing cape that cascaded into a train. Her blonde pixie popped against the Schiaparelli chunky earrings for a vintage feel to the contemporary ensemble. This is an ethereal choice for a red-carpet affair.
#7. Coco Jones
A fun celeb outfit is often welcomed with open arms, and this one on Coco Jones passed the vibe check. Jones wore Moschino to the Spotify Grammys Best New Artist LA Party. The outfit featured a crochet high-slit skirt and a black corset top with sheer trim details. This funky skirt and slinky top is an apt ally to a vodka launch party.
#8. Tia Mowry
An effortless slip dress and blazer is a perfect pairing that works for various occasions. The styling possibilities are endless. For an understated offering, consider simple accessorizing like Tia Mowry at the Genius: MLK/X premiere. You can recreate this offering for your romantic night out on Valentine’s Day.
#9. Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey’s weight loss might have caused a stir, but it’s undeniable that the mogul loves her new look. She didn’t hesitate to step on necks at the 2024 Grammys in a vintage black shimmering Maison Valentino outfit in honor of her friend Tina Turner. The all-black look leveraged the shining attributes to form yet another fun celeb outfit suitable for an Art x Music show this weekend.
#10. Taraji P. Henson
The stocking trend has been firing on all cylinders to the interest of many fashionistas. Whether it’s a tulle midi dress or distressed denim, there’s always a space to tuck in stockings. This time, Taraji P. Henson wore a tweed crop jacket over black jeans, stockings, and glossy pumps that add to the impressive lineup of ways to hop on the trend. The actress added a braided pony for a whimsy appeal. If you have a casual book reading date this weekend, opt for this youthful getup.
