Frank Catania gave an update on his family after the tense final episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. During the taping, Frank was seemingly torn between his desire to please Joe Gorga – and reveal the details behind his son Frankie’s departure from Luis Ruelas’ company – and please his ex-wife Dolores, who clearly didn’t wish to discuss it.
As the episode aired, fans began to wonder if the Catania family is still strong. Throughout the season, Frank and Dolores were at odds over her new relationship with boyfriend Paul Connell.
In a comment shared by @allabouttrh via @commentsbybravo on Instagram, Frank reacted to a fan’s prediction that his family will end up like Teresa Giudice’s following the dispute over Frankie Jr.
“Never. Our family could not be any better than it is right now,” wrote Frank to the fan. He then alluded to his relationships with Paul and his own girlfriend Brittany.
“Everyone is close and always hanging out together including Paul and Brittany,” he ended the comment.
Around the same time, Frank threw a curveball and praised Luis after their tense argument on the RHONJ reunion – when Frank insinuated that Luis hired PI Bo Dietl to do a smear campaign, which both Luis and Bo have denied.
“I might be the last one these days to throw compliments toward Louie but one thing I cannot deny is that since I have known Louie in the presence of his sons he has demonstrated nothing but … being a caring, understanding and loving father,” wrote Frank, via @allabouttrh. “So no matter how I may feel on other issues these days, I will not be one to deny a man the greatest compliment a man can receive.”
After writing the comment and tagging Luis, many viewers rushed to call him out for praising Luis. Some even suggested he was sucking up to Luis because his RHONJ ‘ticket,’ Joe Gorga, is rumored to be getting fired, along with his wife Melissa Gorga.
“Omg what the hell is wrong with all of you looking deeper into this statement,” Frank responded. “Louis and I don’t even speak and still have major unresolved issues between us. This was a post about Louis at a fundraiser for autistic children, of which he has an autistic son, which is much more important than any issues he and I may have … I am not flip-flopping sides, nor trying to keep my position on the show or anything else.”
