Emily Simpson fired back at a couple of fans on Instagram who felt that she was singling Heather Dubrow out at The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion and searching for reasons not to like her.

After Emily, 47, called out Heather, 54, for failing to defend her against Tamra Judge, 56, who had suggested she is not a practicing attorney, on part one of the season 17 reunion, she was confronted by viewers who said she was pilling on to the gang-up.

“Just admit you don’t like Heather instead of getting offended about every little thing she does. You’re mad at Heather for not defending you about the lawyer comment but [you’re] not mad at Tamra for saying it?” one person asked.

But according to Emily, not everything that’s gone down between her and her castmates has been seen on RHOC.

“There’s more to this story. Clearly,” she explained.

Another RHOC viewer accused Emily of purposefully trying to feud with Heather.

“It seems like you just want to find reasons to have a problem with Heather and it’s honestly hard to watch,” they wrote.

In response, Emily told a similar story to that of her first post, saying that the viewers’ assessment was “not true at all” and noting that a lot happened off-camera.

“Remember you see about 1 [percent] of everything that actually shows up on an episode. Imagine what you don’t see,” she shared.

Emily also suggested that there was more than what fans have seen during an interview with Access Hollywood‘s Housewives Nightcap last month.

“I do feel like by the time that dinner came around, it was everyone against Heather, [but] I do feel as a viewer when you watch it, that’s the only interpretation you can take away because that’s all you see,” she stated. “There were a lot of things that also go on … that would add and explain as to why I was so frustrated … or why she felt isolated.”

“It does look bad and it looks like everybody was against her. I just think there was more that would explain it but you can’t put everything in,” she added.

While Emily and Heather were at odds after the RHOC reunion, they actually went to dinner afterward, as Emily confirmed to Entertainment Tonight.

“I do truly consider Heather a friend, and I hope she feels the same way about me,” she revealed. “I saw Heather after we filmed. She had a birthday party a couple of months later, I was the only one on the cast that went to her birthday party. So, I feel like I’ve shown up for her and shown her that I’m sorry about certain, isolated events where I was not at my best.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County season 17 reunion concludes next Wednesday, October 11, at 8/7c on Bravo.
