As part of the gothic role-playing game’s Season Of Blood, Diablo 4 will give away a free PC for 666 quarts (630 litres) of blood  donated by its community.

Between October 20 and November 20, Diablo 4 players are invited to donate their blood to any of the donation centres across the United States to contribute to a “Blood Harvest”. They can submit proof of their donation through the event’s website.

“Not only will you be helping someone in need, but you’ll also help earn coveted in-game rewards based upon the total amount of blood donated by all eligible players,” explained Blizzard Entertainment in a post to its own website. Check out the announcement trailer below:

Once 33 per cent, 66 per cent and 100 per cent of the goal to donate 666 quarts (630 litres) of blood have been hit, then all players will be offered in-game weapon cosmetics, an armour cosmetic, and a Vermilion Eye Piebald Mount.

Along with these, the sweepstakes to win the custom “real human blood-infused” PC will start. The PC will feature a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Intel Core i9 CPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, 3TB SSD Storage and a Quantum Vector GPU Waterblock.

A rig like that is estimated to cost more than $2,000 so the interest from Diablo 4 fans in a PC with these specifications is likely to be very high.

All players within the United States are eligible to win the PC, irrespective of whether or not they donated their blood in the Blood Harvest event, and more information on eligibility will be shared after the sweepstakes goes live.

At the time of writing, Diablo 4 fans have donated approximately 259 quarts (246 litres) of their blood, unlocking the Bloodpetal weapon cosmetics for the entire community. These will only be added to the game on November 22, however.

In other gaming news, Final Fantasy 14 producer and director Naoki Yoshida has shared that the game will get harder achievements if that’s what one particular player would like.
