A Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket has gone viral on social media.
The newest installment in the Marvel franchise was released last week, and sees Ryan Reynolds’s Wade Wilson team up with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.
Since its release, fans have been sharing many posts on TikTok with the film’s popcorn bucket tie-in, which features Wolverine’s mouth open in a rather suggestive pose.
Many have compared it to the Dune bucket that went viral earlier this year for its similarly suggestive look.

“Dune popcorn bucket all over again,” one fan joked, while another said: “We’re gonna have another Dune bucket situation aren’t we.”
Reynolds and Jackman opened up about the piece of merch last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the Deadpool actor quipping that they “created a very extra special popcorn bucket”
“It’s just to enhance your moviegoing experience,” he said. “You remember the Dune popcorn bucket? That could double as your lover. Sexy right? We made a Wolverine bucket for our movie.
“What’s crazy is I didn’t realise until just now that people are really gonna fuck this thing!” he went on to joke, before Jackman also poked fun at the piece of merchandise.
“For an extra three bucks, AMC will add my testicles onto the neck,” he said. “But it’s summer, there’s a lot of air conditioning, so you may not notice.”
The popcorn buckets aren’t the only tie-ins that have gone viral recently, with Xbox releasing controllers with detachable butts themed around the two main characters.
Deadpool & Wolverine was released last week, and has already broken the record for the biggest R-rated film opening of all time after taking $205million in North America, surpassing the record of the first Deadpool, and has taken a total of $438.3million globally.
The film has also earned the record for the eighth-largest filming opening of all time, according to The Hollywood Reporter, as well as the biggest July opening of all time and biggest opening of 2024 so far.
In NME‘s three-star review of Deadpool & Wolverine, we said: “Despite the A-list distractions (no spoilers here), Deadpool & Wolverine is really all about Reynolds and Jackman.
“In fact, it’s really all about Reynolds – with Jackman doing a heroic job of playing the surly straight man trying to keep up with Reynolds’ sweary killer clown. The first two Deadpool films were funny and violent and original, but this one shows Marvel’s most gloriously inappropriate superhero at his very best and worst.”
