etching from a well is no match for drawing from a river that never runs dry. The Lagos fashion streets seem to be the latter. There’s never a scarcity of good looks, ever flowing without limitations. Recently, the stars graced upbeat events in delightful numbers fit for a regal occasion, and took on the streets in offerings that spoke in a language of its own. In other words, nothing basic was spotted on the frames of stylish Lagos celebs and influencers these past weeks, underscoring the mantra: “Never To Be Caught Unfresh.”

#2. Sharon Ooja
The fashion house Weiz Dhurm Franklyn is characterized by its distinct designs, and this burgundy corset dress on Sharon Ooja shows the brand takes its silhouette seriously. The bust held a spiral design, and the skirt flaunted a sassy fringed hem. She kept the neck bare and paired the look with a red Lady Dior bag. Simply put, the dress did its thing uninterrupted.
#3. Lilian Afegbai
Lilian Afegbai, aka Akanchawa Baddie, as she calls herself, wore a gray high-neck Niovio dress to an event in Benin City. The lace dress was draped at the hip with sheer fabric that cascaded into a train at the side. Apart from its outstanding figure-framing effect, the dress’ embroidered details — the kind that stands out in a crowd with a subtle appeal–punched up the look pleasantly.
#4. Temi Otedola
A solid black dress just entered the group chat. Out and about in Paris, Nigerian actress Temi Otedola wore a Stella McCartney mini dress on brown thigh-high boots that was an easy win. The prim and proper look kept the proportions balanced. From her blunt cut bob to the shoulder-padded dress, everything sat with precision and poise. Even when sure, wear black.

#5. Kiki Osibanjo
Considering all the things a white button-down shirt can bring to the table, it’s no surprise that they remain a willing wardrobe staple. Kiki Osibanjo styled hers with a textured midi dress and PVC sandal heels. Her lengthy wavy hair then offered a baddie touch to the conservative ensemble. A day in the life of a stylish office girlie.
#6. Jennifer Oseh
Popularly called The Lady Vodka, Jennifer Oseh took a break from elaborate prints to sport a blackout with random pops of colors. The influencer wore a black peplum top over wide hem bottoms, with a green bag and fuschia pink pumps. The trick is to choose a solid color, neutrals preferably, and then inject colorful accessories without doing too much.
#7. Veronica Odeka
The weather in Lagos has been on a high tempo, so choosing a halterneck flare dress is a wise choice. Adapting to the temps without going low on style, Veronica Odeka wore a floral maxi dress from her boutique. This is a great choice for slow-paced midday attire. Also, remember to pull your hair backwards and wear comfortable footwear.
