Recently, Nigerian fashion stars have made it a mission to reimagine fabulous and the idea of heavy-hitting fashion, revealing that to appear in-vogue, a healthy dose of effort must be applied.
The week was another opportunity for celebrities and style stars to show the stuff that makes them tick, both in deed and style. During Veekee James’ fashion masterclass and other red carpet events, everyone functioned in their element, but the common denominator was an impenetrable sense of style.

On the last day of the Veekee James’ fashion masterclass, the talented Nigerian designer was a shimmery goddess with her head-to-toe shimmering look. She wore a bejeweled dress from her brand, styled with an embellished bag, white platinum hair, and icy silver nails. Her masterclass rode on the traffic of her headline-making wedding, and trust her to come correct, snatched, and ready to secure the bag.

Last weekend, the internet woke up to the news of Sharon Ooja’s wedding. That explains the glow and hot JPEGs the star girl has been serving back to back. She posed in a structured mini blush dress and strappy black pumps, which she wore to a Multi Choice conference, forerunning the prestigious AMVCA Awards. The scallop-hem dress featured a deep neckline, peplum detail on the waistline, and exaggerated sleeves. Although the dress had intricate details, it turned out simple and polished, matching her overall denamour.

Stepping out to host the final night of Veekee James’ fashion masterclass, Tomike Adeoye was a bag of golden perfection. She wore a hand-embroidered dress from the brand that featured gold and black beads splattered with precision and paired it with a matching mini clutch. She completed the look with a center-part updo snatched to perfection and understated makeup.

Host with the Most, as she calls herself, Nancy Isime hosted the 2024 Ikon Awards in an all-over-cowry dress by Nigerian designer Ateni. The look consisted of a cowry-detailed figure-accentuating dress paired with a cowry hair adornment, earrings, and bracelet. The media girl wore this look with the confidence of a goddess in her prime.

Veekee James set the Naija social media streets on fire in a two-toned pants set. She wore an off-the-shoulder two-tone top and solid-color wide-hem pants on Day two of her masterclass and finished off with a matching East meets West purse. Combining different shades of the same color is both safe and bold. For this Erikan look, where the color punched hard, the cuts further elevated the offering. Indeed, slaying is a merger of silhouette, color, cut, and composure. In this case, all were present.

Turning up for her bestie, Hilda Baci arrived at the Veekee James’fashion masterclass in a frayed-hem Mulawwan set. The top flaunted pockets with frayed edges, slanted button-down details, and split sleeves, while the pants added to the polished charm of the fit. This blue outfit married the pumps perfectly and the black bag broke the monochromatic allure with its brown accents. It’s good to see focused young ladies link up and support each other.
