Bungie has warned Destiny 2 players about potential The Final Shape spoilers following a leak.
Due for release June 4, The Final Shape DLC for Destiny 2 has been described as “the culmination of a ten-year journey”. However yesterday (May 30) the expansion was temporarily made available before Bungie were forced to kill the servers.
“Earlier today, a portion of Destiny 2: The Final Shape was accidentally pushed live on PS5‘s streaming service. A small group of players were able to play some of the campaign, access collections, and other reward info coming in The Final Shape. There are currently spoilers being shared online,” wrote the official Destiny 2 X account.
We recommend being very careful on social media over the next few days to avoid spoilers. Remember to exercise caution and be critical of potential misinformation. (🧵3/6)

Bungie went on to advise players to be “very careful” on social media to avoid spoilers. “Remember to exercise caution and be critical of potential misinformation,” they added. “Please be considerate of others and report leaks so players can experience the conclusion of the Light and Darkness saga themselves.”
“It’s always extremely difficult when our team’s hard work is leaked early, but we are still excited for everyone to experience the full release on June 4 together,” they added while project lead Catarina Macedo wrote: “Thanks to everyone actively preventing leaks from spreading for the sake of our community and us developers. We’ve worked so hard on this experience. Just a few more days for you to experience it as intended. Stay safe out there.”

Despite acting as the final chapter of Destiny 2 story, The Final Shape might not be the end of Destiny. Last month, executive creative director Luke Smith shared a cryptic message that seemed to hint at the possibility of a Destiny 3.
Speaking about The Final Shape, he explained: “It’s a journey that will end with you inside The Traveler, facing the Witness. But facing The Witness is not the end of Destiny 2, and it’s definitely not the end of Destiny,” he teased. “After you face The Witness, we’re gonna tell you what’s coming next to Destiny 2 and beyond. We’ll see you soon.”
