Gates has repeatedly been grilled about his conferences with Epstein and has constantly regretted the dinners and conferences, calling the conferences a “mistake” and an “error in judgment.”
“On the time, I didn’t notice that by having these conferences it will be seen as giving him credibility,” Gates stated after Epstein hanged himself in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 whereas awaiting trial for federal intercourse trafficking costs.
“You’re nearly saying: ‘I forgive that sort of conduct,’ or one thing,” Gates continued on the time. “So clearly the way in which it’s seen, I made an enormous mistake not understanding that.”
