Beyerdynamic has a long and storied history in the audio business and that includes gaming headsets, but up until now it’s never included a wireless gaming headset.
Enter the MMX 200. The company’s first-ever wireless gaming headset utilizing its years and years of expertise with audio to create what it feels is the best possible wireless gaming headset on offer. One of the big draws here is the Beyerdynamic audio quality. But now without cables running from your rig to your headset. And with wireless capabilities the MMX 200 is also a more versatile gaming headset than Beyerdynamic’s other offerings.
Retailing at $249, the MMX 200 is multiplatform. You can use it with PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and Bluetooth-enabled devices. Such as phones, Steam Deck and others. For connectivity the headset can swap between either the ‘Meta Link’ low-latency mode or Bluetooth 5.3 mode. Meta Link for PC and console basically, and Bluetooth for mobile devices. Or, if you need to you can connect it with a cable to use while it charges.
The headset also features an Augmented Mode to change the way the headset sounds. Beyerdynamic says this turns it into an open-back headset so you can better hear your surroundings. But without having to dampen the quality of your in-game audio.
The Beyerdynamic MMX 200 wireless gaming headset is available today
Should you be in need of an upgrade, the MMX 200 is launching today. It’s exclusively available through Beyerdynamic’s online shop for now though. Like the MMX 100 and MMX 150, the MMX 200 comes in Black and Gray color options.
It also has a pretty decent wireless range of 66 feet and a battery life of up to 35 hours. Plus on-ear controls are present for everything from power to volume, and Beyerdynamic promises hours of comfort with a new ear pad shape. We were big fans of the MMX 100 and MMX 150. So if the MMX 200 is just as good as those you’re in a good spot if you choose this as your gaming headset.
