Bethenny Frankel defended Gina Kirschenheiter after the 39-year-old called out Andy Cohen for insinuating she has the cheapest house in the cast.
Bethenny, who appeared on multiple seasons of Real Housewives of New York, suggested that Andy’s shade is perhaps why castmates “steal & go bankrupt” to “look rich,” and she indicated that “99.9 percent” of Housewives are pretending to be richer than they are.
During a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live, a ‘shady whale’ asked Heather Dubrow which castmate would earn the least amount of money from the sale of her house. At the time, Heather refused to answer the question, calling it mean – before Andy indicated that it was probably Gina.
In an Instagram post shared by @byewighellodrama, Bethenny addressed Andy’s comments.
“Is this why housewives steal & go bankrupt to look rich?” she asked. “Or get made fun of for owning your home … Did the whale write that?”
On her Just B podcast, Bethenny suggested Housewives are glorified for buying “big house[s]” they “can’t afford.”
“I will say it: 99.9 percent of the Housewives do not have what the show shows they have,” Bethenny stated. “Why was NeNe saying ‘rich b**ch’? To keep up with everybody else. Why was Sheree in Chateau Sheree that never got built? To keep up with everybody else. But the shady whale’s gonna come make fun of you if you’re poor, so you might as well … defraud everybody [in order] to appear rich.”
