Sudanese-Canadian Mustafa the Poet, pictured here with Clairo, welcomed the crowd at Thursday night’s benefit concert at Newark Symphony Hall in New Jersey. He said that the night was about endurance and maintaining hope.
“It’s easy to feel increasingly hopeless with everything that’s going on,” he told the crowd.
