Ariana Madix is reportedly refusing to film one-on-one scenes with Tom Sandoval for Vanderpump Rules season 11 as her sandwich shop faces a new challenge.
Amid claims that certain members of the show have either made amends with Sandoval or are “feeling torn,” a new report claims Ariana wants nothing to do with Sandoval, who cheated on her with Raquel Leviss, as she and Katie Maloney rush to open their new sandwich shop, Something About Her, in August after facing major permitting challenges.
Along with a series of construction photos of the venue’s patio floor torn up, black dust and debris on the walls, and construction workers putting new paneling on the building, The U.S. Sun offered an update on July 26.
According to the report, Something About Her was “completely ready to open” earlier this summer when Ariana and Katie were contacted by the city, who informed the Pump Rules cast members that their patio did not meet permit requirements.
Now, six weeks later, an insider close to Ariana and Katie claims they had to spend “in the six-figure” range to demo their previous patio and get it up to code with new beams.
“Everything is completely done, the menu is done. The interior is done. Staff is hired. Now it’s just a matter of finishing the patio. It will definitely be open mid-August at the latest,” the source shared.
And while some fans think Ariana and Katie are “lying about why they’re not opening” and are “accusing them of not actually being close to opening,” the insider confirmed that it is a “complete lie.”
As Ariana and Katie prepare for the grand opening of their West Hollywood venue, another source has informed TMZ that Ariana and Sandoval have yet to film a one-on-one scene for season 11.
As the outlet alleged, Ariana is refusing to do so, despite having been in production since last month. And when it comes to the future, it doesn’t look like that will change. In fact, Ariana reportedly has no interest in chatting with her ex-boyfriend and hasn’t spoken to him directly since filming the season 10 reunion in March.
As Ariana and Sandoval continue to communicate through other people, producers certainly have their work cut out for them when it comes to getting these two to sit down for a filmed session. And as TMZ confirmed, they’re on a deadline, with the series set to wrap in early September.
Although Ariana and Sandoval haven’t filmed any scenes with just the two of them, they have been seen filming in the same location.
As for Raquel, she’s under contract to appear but hasn’t filmed thus far. And there are no guarantees she will return as she can legally quit the series, per California law.
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is expected to begin airing on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
