Ariana Madix is not friends with Tom Schwartz despite the fact that he was in attendance over the weekend when she and Katie Maloney hosted a sandwich tasting at Something About Her.
After sharing a series of photos of the Vanderpump Rules cast, including Scheana Shay, Brock Davies, Lala Kent, James Kennedy, and Ally Lewber, enjoying the menu selection of the soon-to-be-opened venue, Ariana responded to a fan who raised a question about Schwartz’s presence at the filmed event.
“The entire cast supporting Queen Katie & Ariana at a [Something About Her] sandwich tasting!” the Queens of Bravo on Instagram wrote in the caption of an August 5 photo collage of the group.
In addition to separate pics of Ally with Scheana and Lala, the collage featured a look at the offerings of Something About Her.
In another pic shared by the fan page, the Pump Rules cast was seen sitting at a table together with a cameraman in the background.
Some fans noticed Schwartz smiling and giving a peace sign as he sat beside Lala and across from his ex-wife, Katie Maloney, and they had questions about it.
“Whole cast is missing Sandoval. And I thought Ariana said we can’t be friends with Schwartz???” one person asked in the comments section of the pic.
“I’m not friends with Tom Schwartz,” Ariana confirmed.
In June, after Ariana told Glamour that Schwartz was “very instrumental” in Tom Sandoval‘s months-long affair with Raquel Leviss, having allegedly known about it since August 2022, “at least,” Schwartz addressed the matter on FOX’s Stars on Mars, attempting to explain why he didn’t approach Ariana with what he knew.
“It’s been a huge source of angst in my life,” he said. “I’ve been in this extended funk. It’s horrible, and I feel complicit because I didn’t cover for him, but I had his back. He came to me and confided in me that he was in love with someone else.”
“Ultimately, that’s his life. I did not have an affair. I am not him, and it’s just so strange that I’ve been absolutely mired in this,” he added.
Weeks later, Schwartz admitted he was nervous to begin filming season 11.
“I’m always slightly terrified when we start a new season. We’ve been through so much with this group, and we’re a volatile crew,” he claimed. “We’ve always been a volatile group of friends. I don’t think I’ve ever had an argument outside of this group, to be honest. We have a lot of history together, and there’s been trials and tribulations, but it comes from a place of love.”
Vanderpump Rules season 11 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
