Andy Cohen on the "Most Chaotic" Moments of Real Housewives History and How He Prepares for Reunions

There have been a lot of chaotic moments in the years since the Real Housewives was first launched in 2006 with The Real Housewives of Orange County. But which ones reign supreme in the mind of executive producer Andy Cohen?

During a new interview, the Watch What Happens Live host looked back at the ladies’ most dramatic moments on their respective shows and revealed how he prepares for each of his series’ reunions, which often require 10 or more hours of filming.

“The most chaotic scene in Housewives history … I mean, you know, what jumps out always is [Teresa Giudice‘s] table flip or [Aviva Drescher]’s leg toss or Jen Shah‘s arrest or, you know, there’s a long list,” Andy shared with Yahoo! Australia on February 22, naming the “chaotic” moments of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Real Housewives of New York City, and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, respectively.

Also, speaking to Yahoo! Australia, Andy explained the process he goes through before filming reunions with his cast.

“I think that everything I do is ramping up for those reunions because I have the guests on Watch What Happens Live through the season, and I listen to what the fans are saying. And I’m watching cuts of the shows,” he explained.

“And I’m hearing about it when it’s being shot,” he added. “So it’s pretty — I walk in there pretty set to do what I need to do.”

While Andy may enter the Real Housewives reunions prepared, that isn’t to say that they’re easy. In fact, he’s been dealt with his fair share of drama as he’s attempted to mediate between the ladies. And, in 2019, he looked back on the most difficult reunions he’s filmed.

“Toughest reunion I ever sat through, probably those early years of [RHONJ] where it was blood warfare,” he said during a Q&A session at the WWHL For Your Consideration Emmys event in New York City that year.

“There have [also] been one or two [Real Housewives of Atlanta reunions] where [Nene Leakes] was not feeling it that were tough,” he added.

Watch What Happens Live airs Sundays through Thursdays on Bravo.
