Andy Cohen addresses “losing” his “s**t” on Teresa Giudice on the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, reveals he apologized, and shares the alleged reason he yelled at her.
The host also revealed DMs Howie Mandel recently sent him amid their feud after Andy called him a ‘jackhole’ for interviewing Tom Sandoval before the Vanderpump Rules reunion.
On his Radio Andy show, Andy addressed the backlash he received after viewers saw a sneak peek of him yelling at Teresa at the reunion.
The host said he noticed “a massive level of vitriol” against him on social media after the clip was released.
“Teresa fans are very upset at me for losing my s**t on Teresa,” he said. “What I will say is I don’t want to lose my s**t on anybody. I don’t lose my s**t. I think for all of you who are upset, have a seat in the middle of that [reunion] for eight or ten hours, and let’s see … how you handle it.”
When asked why he got to that point, Andy shared he “couldn’t take it.”
He expressed, “I was at the end of my rope … I think it’s a mixture of everything. [Teresa] not listening, not respecting, you know, my trying to let everyone speak. I mean, if you keep interrupting, at some point I am going to lose my s**t, and I don’t feel great about it.”
Andy added, “I don’t like to raise my voice. I don’t like to speak to a woman in a certain way, and of course, I apologized.”
“So my apologies. And of course, you will see me apologize to Teresa,” he said.
The producer also shared some recent DMs from Howie Mandel amid their feud.
“He DMed me and said, ‘You’re making amazing TV. I was honored to be your jackhole,’” said Andy. “I loved that. And I DMed him back and I said, ‘Howie, being in a ‘feud’ with you — ‘feud’ in quotes — was my honor.”
The Bravo host continued, “So I feel like Howie and I, we’re back.”
