Acer has announced its latest gaming laptop to hit the market with the Nitro V 15. This is a new budget gaming laptop aimed at making gaming more accessible to more gamers out there. It comes in multiple configurations and will be available in the US at launch which is coming up in October.

Budget gaming laptops have a history of being underpowered. And perhaps to some degree that is true. But Acer is attempting to redefine what the consumer things of budget gaming laptops with the Nitro V 15. And on paper, it seems to be doing a pretty good job of that. The Nitro V 15 comes powered with a range of different GPU options. Giving consumers choice in which config suits them and their budget the best.

This starts with an NVIDIA RTX 2050 and a price of $699. But it can go all the way up to $999 if you want to go for the RTX 4050 GPU instead. Each config is a little different in the rest of the specs as well. For example the RTX 4050 models can be had with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD, or 16GB of RAM with either a 512GB SSD or 1TB SSD.

The Acer Nitro V 15 can come with even more powerful specs

With the configurations listed above there is at least four constants across every configuration. The display size, resolution, and refresh rate, and the CPU. These will all feature 1,020 x 1,080 display at 15.6-inches with a 144Hz refresh rate. But Acer will be offering even more powerful versions of the laptop. Consumers will have the option to pick from configurations with up to 2TB of SSD storage, up to 32GB of RAM, and displays that offer a refresh rate of 165Hz. For now though Acer isn’t offering any of those configurations in the US. With only the 144Hz versions coming stateside.
