Air have introduced a twenty fifth anniversary vinyl reissue of their basic debut album ‘Moon Safari’.

The French duo – comprised of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel – launched their debut album in 1998.

After celebrating 20 years of its 2001 follow-up ’10 000Hz Legend’ with a reissue in 2021, ‘Moon Safari’ will now be reissued on vinyl through Vinyl Me Please to rejoice its twenty fifth birthday.

The reissue will land on February 1 and be pressed on an unique 180gram “Sea of Tranquility” colored vinyl.

It can function lacquers lower by Marie Pieprrzownik alongside a Listening Notes article by Sophie Frances Kemp and an artwork print from Mike Mills.

The liner notes for the reissue say of the album: “It appears like a dream sequence. One second you’re strolling via a room drenched in pink mild whereas wearing a tuxedo, the following you’re diving into the neighbour’s pool butt-naked together with your highschool crush.

“It’s a temper you need to stay within without end. It’s a revelation. It’s dialog pit music for a greater future.”

Air final studio effort, ‘Le Voyage Dans La Lune’, got here out in 2012.

Requested by NME in 2019 whether or not there could be one other report, the band’s Nicolas Godin stated that he was involved about ruining the band’s “magic” by releasing a “substandard album”.

“If we’re capable of finding that magic, we’ll go into the studio,” he continued. “But when not, we’ll transfer apart and let different individuals make these magic information.”
