Canadian Government issued an update on the USA travel advisory in the section

“Since January 7, 2025, several wildfires have erupted in Southern California, including the Palisades Fire in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles and the Eaton Fire near Pasadena. These fires may continue to spread, and the risk of additional fires remains high.”

“Local authorities have declared a state of emergency and issued evacuation orders for affected areas. A curfew is in place from 6 pm to 6 am in evacuation zones. Several roads are closed due to the fires, and heavy smoke has significantly impaired visibility for drivers. The air quality has worsened because of smoke and ash, and power outages are affecting parts of Los Angeles County.”
