A new Elden Ring strategy guide has been announced, focusing on the recently released expansion Shadow Of The Erdtree.

The third Elden Ring strategy guide from Future Press will help guide players through the shadow realm as it shares an expansive look at Shadow Of The Erdtree. The book is described as an “encyclopaedic catalogue of Shadow Of The Erdtree’s world” and has been crafted with “meticulous attention,” according to the publisher.

“An essential new volume of the Elden Ring Books Of Knowledge has arrived,” continues the description. “This encyclopaedic tome acts as a complete catalogue of Shadow Of The Erdtree’s world and its inhabitants. It combines the map-based world and dungeon guides of Volume I with the stats and analysis of enemies and equipment that Volume 2 offered. For anyone setting foot in the Realm of Shadow, this will be an invaluable companion and a truly complete reference book.”

The guide includes exclusive, illustrated maps that signpost every single item, point of interest and major enemy in the Shadow Realm, alongside an expanded bestiary. Elden Ring – Books Of Knowledge: Volume 3 also includes guides to quests and weapons alongside a collection of concept art, a progression guide and a huge poster of the shadow realm.

The 352-page strategy guide is due for release September 2024 and will cost £34.99. Pre-orders are live now.

Last week, FromSoftware shared the first update for Elden Ring since Shadow Of The Erdtree went live. The patch nerfed a couple of tough bosses and fixed a few overpowered weapons alongside a number of balance and bug fixes, but players are still reporting issues with the game’s performance on both PC and PlayStation.

George R.R. Martin also commented on the rumoured TV adaptation of Elden Ring with an over-the-top denial on his blog. Oh, and about those rumours you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on Elden Ring… I have nothing to say,” he wrote. “Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum. What rumour?”

In other news, Jagex has released an album of reworked metal tracks from the Old School RuneScape soundtrack.
