There’s nothing I love more than an all-inclusive beach break.

Unlimited cocktails, delicious dishes whenever I want them, and entertainment on tap. What’s not to like?

All-inclusive vacations are just so easy, especially if you’re traveling with a young family like I so often do.

New figures have shown that the Dominican Republic welcomed more than 5 million visitors so far this year.

According to CaribJournal, that’s a 12% increase in visitor numbers compared to last year’s record-breaking arrival numbers.

And Punta Cana is attracting the most of those visitors as the Caribbean capital of all-inclusive resorts.

Here’s why:

Why Choose Punta Cana?

Some of the most attractive elements of a vacation in Punta Cana are the amazing white sand beaches, the insane number of nonstop flights from across the United States, and the island’s warm and welcoming people.

You can fly from Miami to Punta Cana in under 2.5 hours, and flights can be incredibly affordable too.

Frontier is currently offering the cheapest flights between the two cities, with a round-trip nonstop flight departing on August 8 and returning on August 12 costing just $256 (based on current prices).

Punta Cana International Airport is the cheapest airport in the Dominican Republic to fly into from the U.S., which also explains why the destination is so popular.

But people aren’t just choosing Punta Cana because it’s cheap.

Beautiful beaches, tropical wildlife, palm groves, and the island’s outstanding natural beauty all attract visitors to the Dominican Republic.

The island offers consistent warmth and year-round sunshine, meaning there’s no bad time to visit.

Affordable All-Inclusive Options

Punta Cana is attracting record numbers of visitors thanks to both the quality and affordability of its all-inclusive resorts.

Whether you’re happy to splash the cash or you’re looking to save a few bucks, there are great options available.

There are 77 all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana, which means that you’ll be spoilt for choice. But with so many options, that means it can be hard to know which resort to choose.

If money is no object, then the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is one of the best all-inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. It’s right on the beach with epic ocean views, so splurging a little extra for a room with a sea view is well worth it.

The resort has an awesome water park for kids, but plenty of adult only spaces to relax and unwind too. And the quality of the food is incomparable!

For my imaginary vacation from 8-12 August, expect to spend $765 a night to stay at this resort.

If you’re looking for a budget break, then the Caribe Deluxe Princess has amazing reviews at all-inclusive prices that won’t break the bank.

$197 per couple per night gets you a comfy room with outstanding air conditioning and access to a beautiful private white sand beach. The pool bar is the best place to be here, and the extensive cocktail menu is epic!

Obviously, prices can change based on season, room type, and room availability, but this remains a good-value resort option no matter what time of year it is.

Why Choose An All-Inclusive Vacation

I love an occasional all-inclusive vacation, but not everyone shares my enthusiasm. Some travelers find all-inclusive resorts expensive or feel that they don’t offer an authentic travel experience.

I used to feel that way, too, before I took the plunge and tried my first all-inclusive break. Now I take one every year!

I think there are many great reasons to choose an all-inclusive vacation, especially if you want a hassle-free break by the beach.

Firstly, the economic benefits are well worth considering. Although the initial expenditure may be higher than a regular hotel, you pay one price, and that will cover your room, food, drinks, activities, and entertainment.

You can leave your wallet safely in your room and still eat and drink to your heart’s content as you explore the resort.

This is a huge bonus if you’re budget-conscious or if (like me) you have kids who are bottomless pits who will happily spend the day snacking until I’m bankrupt!

Another benefit of all-inclusive resorts is the huge number of activities they offer. From beach yoga to dance classes, paddle boarding to ping pong, or riding horses to riding jet skis.

On our most recent all-inclusive vacation we took a guacamole-making class with the resort’s Executive Chef, then threw ourselves with gusto into a very messy pool foam party.

The verdict?

You never have to be bored on an all-inclusive vacation.
