Tom Cruise has been spotted attempting to get into Rishi Sunak’s car in central London.
The Top Gun star was filmed trying to get into an Audi at Battersea Heliport after waving to some of his fans. However, when the door didn’t open, the Mission: Impossible star walked round to his car, parked in the next space, where the door was held open by a member of his entourage.
Not long after the mistake, the Prime Minister was seen successfully getting into the car which Cruise had been mistakenly trying to enter. Check out the video of the incident below (via Daily Mail UK).
The error occurred following Sunak’s return to London from a campaign trip to Cornwall and Devon, ahead of the upcoming general election.
According to the Evening Standard, Cruise was spotted arriving at Battersea last month via his own helicopter. He is reportedly in the UK filming the newest instalment in the Mission Impossible franchise.

Last week, Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick co-star Glen Powell shared how the 61-year-old once pranked him by pretending to lose control of his helicopter.
Speaking with GQ, the Anyone But You star shared: “Tom goes, ‘Oh no, oh no,’ and he starts dropping the helicopter over London. I was like, ‘Am I about to be the unnamed guy that dies with Tom in a smoking hole in the middle of London?’”
In other news, Jeremy Renner has explained why he had to leave the Mission: Impossible franchise after featuring in two of the blockbusters. The Marvel star said: “I was supposed to do more with them. I love those guys. I love Tom so much. We had so much fun, and I love that character a lot.”
He explained: “It requires a lot of time away. It’s all in London. I had to go be a dad. It just wasn’t gonna work out then.”
However, he hinted at a possible return in the future, saying: “Maybe now that my daughter is older that could happen. I’d always jump into a Mission: Impossible anytime and back into Brandt. It’s great.”
