Apple TV+ has released a teaser trailer for Wolfs, an upcoming film starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
The teaser, released yesterday (May 28), shows Pitt riding in the passenger’s seat while Clooney drives the car with a disgruntled look on his face. Pitt’s character is seen as restless, picking at the car’s interior before being stopped by Clooney.
The thriller sees the onscreen reunion of Pitt and Clooney, who have not worked together since 2008’s Coen Brothers caper Burn After Reading. However, both Pitt and Clooney also contributed voice cameos in recent family flick IF, which stars Ryan Reynolds.
The duo are best known for their work on the Oceans film franchise, which initially concluded in 2007’s Ocean’s Thirteen. However, last December, Clooney revealed that a fourth Oceans film is in the works.
Wolfs was first announced in 2021 as a spy thriller with director Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) attached. Back then, the film was described as a “tale of two lone-wolf fixers assigned to the same job.” In 2022, Clooney was quoted as saying he and Pitt took a pay cut in order to ensure the film’s release in theaters and on streaming. Wolfs has yet to receive an official release date.
“It was an exciting time because it got to be one of those weird bidding wars which happen every once in a while, and it ended up being pretty extreme, and Apple came in with a really big number for Brad and I,” he said. “And we said we’d like to take less as long as we can guarantee that we can have a theatrical release, and they said great.”
Last December, Clooney worked with Netflix on the film The Boys on the Boat as director. Meanwhile, Pitt remains embroiled in a legal dispute with ex-wife Angelina Jolie, whose lawyers called Pitt’s NDA request “abusive”.
