Korea-based Japanese girl group XG have announced a new single called ‘Undefeated’ for Valorant VCT Pacific 2024.

XG’s new song ‘Undefeated’ has been described in a press release as a song with “a heavy bassline, minimalistic drum composition and dreamy synthesizers” with a message of “fearlessly seizing victory at all times”.

XG will release ‘Undefeated’ on April 12 globally through streaming platforms, with a music video set to be released on the same day through the official VCT Pacific YouTube channel.

Japanese-Korean singer and producer Jakops, who is also the CEO of XG’s label XGALX, said in a press release that he wanted to “bring deep emotion and excitement to Valorant players worldwide and to everyone who loves music” though the new collaboration.

“Through this collaboration, I hope that everyone […] will embrace the spirit of dreams, challenges and never losing in competition, just like XG,” he added. “I believe that the effort of artists on stage and the determination and effort of players striving for victory in matches are one and the same.”

Jake Sin, the Head of Valorant Esports APAC at Riot Games, said in the same press release that he “hope[s] the track will not only bring more hype to what will undoubtedly be a thrilling VCT Pacific season, but also demonstrate our commitment to our passionate community”.

“It is the love and support from our fans so far that have encouraged us to seek more creative avenues for expression. We are grateful to work with XG to bring such a special track to life and hope our fans in the region and beyond will enjoy it as much as we do,” he added.

Stage one of Valorant‘s VCT Pacific 2024 is being held in Seoul, South Korea from April 6 to May 12. The top three teams from the tournament will qualify for Valorant Masters Shanghai 2024, which is scheduled to run from May 23 to June 9.

In other XG news, the girl group are also set to release new single titled ‘Woke Up’ in May. In the same month, the band will also embark on their 2024 ‘The First Howl’ world tour, featuring concerts in Asia, North America, Europe and more.
