“See you next year, bitches,” the singer wrote on Instagram

Camila Cabello is giving her fans a heads-up: new music could be on the way in 2024. On Thursday, the singer shared a series of photos on her Instagram Story and teased the arrival of new music in the new year.

After sharing a photo of the recording studio and another picture of her music collaborators, the singer posted a photo of herself in a recording booth with a mouth-zipped emoji, writing, “Mostly the year of this… See you next year, bitches.”

She also shared a text message to her mom Sinu Cabello, where she wrote, “It’s slutty, but it’s art,” seemingly describing the music.

The singer spoke to Rolling Stone last month and shared a brief update about the possibility of upcoming music. “I’m always scheming, but I won’t say too much about it because I love a calculated surprise,” she said at the time before playing coy when asked if the music was ready. “I can’t say anything,” she added.

Cabello also explained that she had been “really consuming a lot of new art and a lot of new references” to prepare herself for the music she’s been making.

“A lot of new music, new movies, new novels, new photography,” Cabello said. “To me, what produces different output is having new input. That’s what’s inspired me.”

Cabello last released her album Familia last summer, featuring songs “Psychofreak” with Willow, “Bam Bam” with Ed Sheeran, and “Don’t Go Yet.” This year, she also starred as Viva in Trolls: Band Together. For the soundtrack, she participated on the track “It Takes Two.”
