Rapper drops “For All the Barbz” to keep fans fed until release of Pink Friday 2 next month

It’s not quite Pink Friday yet, but Nicki Minaj dropped new music today, taking a stab at Drake’s “All the Parties” beat on her new freestyle “For All the Barbz.”

While Drake and Chief Keef are credited on the track, their contributions are just recycled from the For All the Dogs version; instead, it’s Minaj’s show, with the rapper delivering a trademark fiery verse.

At one point, Minaj proclaims, “VMAs was a family reunion / First time in a while I seen all of my sons,” a not-so-subtle poke at all the rappers her career birthed: Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Ice Spice, etc. “I make the movies, I give you bitches cameos.”

(Minaj also alludes to the doomed Titan submersible with the line, “One sub kill five bitches, OceanGate.”)

Following a series of delays, the long-awaited Pink Friday 2 is scheduled for release on November 17. Minaj has previously shared “Last Time I Saw You” and the hit “Super Freaky Girl” from the album, the sequel of sorts to Minaj’s 2010 breakthrough debut album Pink Friday.
