RHOBH's Mauricio Umansky Says He and Kyle Are Fighting for Marriage, Explains Her DWTS Absence, and Admits He "Failed" on Latin Night, Watch His Salsa

Mauricio Umansky isn’t giving up on his marriage to Kyle Richards just yet.

Although the recently released trailer for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alluded to cheating by both parties, Mauricio, 53, insisted he and Kyle, 54, are still fighting to work things out as he and partner Emma Slater, 34, landed in the bottom three on Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars.

In honor of the evening’s Latin Night, Mauricio and Emma performed a salsa to “Quimbara” by Celia Cruz.

While Mauricio, who has Latin roots, had high hopes for his dance, he sadly messed up some steps and received just 12 out of 30 points from the judges.

Luckily for Mauricio, however, after landing in the bottom three alongside Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart, and Jamie Lynn Spears and Alan Bersten, it was Jamie and Alan who were eliminated.

Following the final vote, Mauricio took to his Instagram Story to thank his fans and followers for their support.

“So I’m heading home, long, long day, crazy day, lots of ups and downs and I just really want to say thank you to everybody that voted for me, my friends, the fans, The Agency, you guys all pulled together so strong and I really needed it,” he said. “I had that misstep, missed a big chunk of my dance but I kept it going and it was really the votes that kept me in it and I’m just loving and having so much dancing that I’m really, really glad you guys all turned up for me so I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you guys. And we live to fight another week.”

Also on Tuesday night, after being saved by votes, Mauricio told Page Six, “it feels great” to be returning for another week of DWTS.

“I feel blessed and I feel like our fans saved us,” he admitted. “We definitely, you know, we failed some steps. I mean, I failed some steps, it’s that simple [but we] rebounded really strong.”

“I’m a Latin guy, and I wanted to deliver it, which is probably what disappointed me the most, to be honest with you. I had an opportunity to deliver salsa on Latin night during Hispanic Heritage Month … and I just missed,” he continued. “And that is what had me down the most.”

Tuesday was also the day that the trailer for the new season of RHOBH was released. In the trailer, Mauricio told Kyle, “I’m just glad it’s you out there having an affair,” and she replied, “For once, it’s me.” However, because he was busy getting ready for his dance, Mauricio hadn’t yet seen it.

As for why Kyle, who supported him on premiere night, wasn’t present for Week 2, Mauricio said she was busy with her own show.

“She was filming her confessionals today, so that’s why she couldn’t be here today,” he shared.

“We’re struggling. We’ve been very open about it. We’re separated [but] we’re not throwing in the towel yet,” Mauricio clarified.

Instead, they’re “going to try” to work things out and “see” what happens.

“When we know what happens to us, you will know what happens to us,” he added.
