Private eye Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordan) is right to be suspicious of B.J. Vines (John Diehl); there’s something more he’s not saying in this scene from Dark Winds’ season 2 finale, “Hózhó náhásdlįį (Beauty Is Restored).” Vines has blood on his hands, and — where’s his wife, Rosemary (Jeri Ryan)? Earlier in the season, Rosemary had hired Chee as a private investigator to find B.J.’s lock box, and then B.J. hired Chee to find out if Rosemary is having an affair. Is Vines a witch? “I advise you to not mess with what you don’t understand,” Chee tells him. “You can steal our ceremonies, but you’ll never get off the black road.”
