At the viewpoint during our visit, there were already quite a few people. But since the area is large, it spreads out well, and you can gradually use all the photo opportunities available on-site. From small platforms to signs of Samet Nangshe or even hearts where you can sit inside – there are plenty of options for a popular Instagram photo.

You can also relax in the available seating to enjoy the wonderful view, rather than just walking around and taking photos. There’s no time limit. The pick-up trucks depart every few minutes to go back down. Since you probably won’t come here often in your life, take your time to soak in the fantastic view of Samet Nangshe over the Andaman Sea in Phang Nga Bay and the limestone cliffs. It’s definitely one of the most beautiful viewpoints we’ve visited in Thailand.

The Surroundings at the Viewpoint

Apart from the view from the Samet Nangshe Viewpoint, there isn’t much to do on the hill. You’ll find a few small, very basic bungalows that you can rent on site. There’s even a small terrace where you can enjoy the view. This way, you’d be more or less alone at the viewpoint in the early morning and late evening.

Furthermore, there’s the Samet Nangshe Restaurant and also a small café that you can visit. So, food and drinks are also taken care of. However, we would advise you, especially if you’re walking to the viewpoint, to have enough water with you. The heat in Thailand and the physical exertion should definitely not be underestimated.
