A recent source claimed Real Housewives of New York newbie Jessel Taank is renting her apartment in NYC, and she moved to the Big Apple for the show. The 43-year-old, who is married with two sons, has become a controversial castmate in the eyes of many fans. Some viewers enjoy her unfiltered personality while others consider her rude.
In a recent episode, Jessel seemingly shaded castmate Erin Lichy’s neighborhood in Tribeca, calling the area “up and coming” and declaring it has “potential.” The comment shocked her co-stars, who implied that her opinion was ridiculous.
According to a report from @deuxmoi, shared by @tasteof_reality on Instagram, a source claimed Jessel’s apartment is allegedly “rented,” and the star moved to New York for the show, which is the reason she “knew nothing about Tribeca.”
In the comments of the post, Jessel responded to the claims.
“My husband and kids are rented too,” she wrote sarcastically. “Found them on craigslist.”
After the episode aired, real estate expert Fredrik Eklund from Million Dollar Listing New York backed up Erin’s claims.
“Erin is correct! Tribeca is the most expensive zip code in New York and attracts more celebrity buyers than any other neighborhood for two decades now,” he stated in an interview with The Daily Dish. “If you don’t know this, you’re not a New Yorker.”
