Activision has confirmed everything you get with the Vault Edition for Modern Warfare III, and there’s quite a bit of content for anyone who plans to pre-order this version of the game.
If you pre-ordered the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare II when it launched last year, you probably already have an idea of the contents. One of the big inclusions was a new thing Activision was adding to the Call of Duty franchise called weapon vaults. This would be a cache that included a weapon with a wide array of attachments with a matching blueprint design. So you could immediately use said weapon and have access to every attachment for that specific weapon without having to level it. And all of those attachments would match thanks to the vault blueprint. For Modern Warfare II this was the FJX Cinder.
For Modern Warfare III, the Vault Edition will include two Fate Weapon Vaults. Each one is themed after one of the opposing factions. One for the Konni Group featuring a black and red color scheme. The other for Task Force 141 featuring a blue and silver color scheme. Unfortunately, Activision hasn’t confirmed what the base weapon platforms would be yet. Although one of them looks to be on the Kastov platform. You’ll also be able to use these in the open beta.
Modern Warfare III Vault Edition owners get plenty of battle pass tier skips
If you pick up the Vault Edition, you’ll once again get early access to the game’s campaign. But you can also get this if you pre-order the standard edition, allowing access up to a week early for both versions. That gives you plenty of time to finish it ahead of when multiplayer goes live. What you will only get with the Vault Edition is all of those extra battle pass tier skips. The Vault Edition comes with 50 total battle pass tokens for skipping tiers right away to get at unlocks. And if you pre-order on PlayStation you get an additional 5.
Plus, you get 1,100 CP, a Soap operator pack, and the Nemesis operator pack with animated faction outfits. All-in-all it’s the premium option for people that want the goodies. Although it does come at a cost with the price tag being $99.99. You’ll have to decide whether or not that’s worth it to you.
Modern warfare III launches on November 10 for PC via Steam and battle.net, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
