Cardi B was the belle of the 2023 Paris Fashion Week, and you could tell she loved the attention. From the black and gold goodness of Schiaparelli to an effortless Thom Browne midi-dress furnishing and a green Gaurav Gupta moment of bliss, there’s no denying that Cardi is exactly who she thinks she is.
Last week, Lupita Nyong’o graced the carpet at De Beers’ Gala dinner in a sleek brown number. The mid-length dress featured a bodice with draped details and a bottom half that flaunted a knotted design. The choice of brown was the perfect complement to her rich melanin skin, and the De Beers diamond jewelry she rocked added even more sparkle. Nothing to see here, just a Black woman who knows her worth and never dims her light.
Another star whose light sparkled at PFW was the amiable Tracee Ellis Ross. She attended the Schiaparelli show in an edgy black dress punctuated by gold designs and paired that with a hammered gold necklace. The number’s high slit was an easy peek at the actress’ toned legs. It exuded confidence and, of course, a solid grasp of her distinct sense of style.
