Richard “Richie” Wakile shared a post about “family” on his Instagram page on Monday, shading Joe Gorga and Melissa Gorga in the process.
Just over two years after his son, Joseph Wakile, labeled the Gorgas “farm animals” in a comment on social media, the former Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member took to his Story, where he spotlighted a message about family staying together through the ups and downs.
In February 2021, after the Gorgas were suspiciously absent at the wedding of Victoria Wakile and husband Teddy Kosmidis, Joseph shaded Joe and Melissa in a comment left on a post shared by Page Six, who had commented on the Gorgas’ absence.
“Lmao we cut those farm animals out of our life years ago that’s why they weren’t in attendance,” Joseph replied.
Fast-forward years later, and Richie, the husband of Joe’s cousin, Kathy Wakile, is taking a page out of his son’s book with a “farm animals” diss of his own.
After posting a quote on his Instagram Story, which read, “No family is perfect. We argue, we fight, we even stop talking to each other at times, but in the end, family is family. The love will always be there,” Richie took aim at the Gorgas.
“Not for some farm animals,” he added in a caption, suggesting Joe and Melissa don’t abide by those terms.
In April 2021, following Joseph’s shade, Joe appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where he slammed Richie for the way he’s raised his kids to speak.
“That, I’m really shocked because I’ve always loved him. I loved those kids,” Joe said. “Richie Wakile… that is the reason why his children are talking the way they are. He’s just not a nice guy.”
One year later, on the Side Piece with Melissa Pfeister podcast, Joe mentioned Richie while discussing his falling out with cousin Rosie Pierri.
“She changed,” Joe claimed. “She got on the show with Richie, and that changed her. Richie held on to Rosie because that was the golden egg to stay on the show. He would say, ‘If you want Rosie, she’s coming with us if you don’t sign us.’”
