Katie Maloney‘s mom, Teri Maloney, recounted her shocking encounter with Tom Sandoval on Lala Kent‘s podcast on Wednesday.

Days after Teri and Sandoval were seen feuding on Vanderpump Rules amid an argument over Tom Schwartz and Raquel Leviss‘ kiss in Mexico, which violated Schwartz’s agreement with Katie not to hook up with anyone in their friend group, Teri detailed what fans didn’t see as Katie suspected the kiss would’ve never happened if cameras weren’t around.

“I don’t think so,” Lala replied, via Rate My Bravo on Instagram, after her Give Them Lala co-host asked if the hookup would’ve occurred if Schwartz and Raquel weren’t on a television show.

“I don’t think so [either],” Katie agreed.

In fact, as Katie shared, Raquel actually suggested a make-out with Schwartz would make for “good TV.”

“She said at one point, ‘It would be good TV for me and Tom.’ And that angered me even more because I’m just like, ‘Oh now you just are really being just careless with my feelings,’” Katie recalled.

At another moment of the May 17 podcast, also shared by Rate My Bravo on Instagram, Teri said that while it wasn’t seen on Pump Rules, Sandoval actually got in her face and yelled at her after she attempted to defend Katie against Raquel, who he was engaged in a secret affair with at the time.

“So what he did is, he walked over and sat across from me and got in my face and told me I had no right, to stay out of their business and stop making it my business and that’s when I said, ‘She is my daughter,’” Teri said. “You know how his veins pop? He had an expression and it was freaking me out and he was like, he didn’t just say it. He was yelling at me.”

Luckily, Teri’s other child, son Joey Maloney, intervened.

“He stepped right in and was trying to calm Sandoval down and it took him a second and then he did and just as Joey turned around and started to step out, he was back in my face again and Joey, I was so proud of him, [said], ’You’re not gonna talk to my mom that way,’” she revealed.

As Pump Rules fans may have seen, Teri and Joey mentioned the incident on Twitter after the episode aired.

“[I] had to speak up about these garbage humans,” Joey wrote. “You act tough and talk to my mom and my sister like that when you are on camera but you would never dare do that when your ego wasn’t being boosted.”

“Thank you so much Joey for all your love and support!” Teri replied. “It was not shown in tonight’s episode, but you step in and defended me upon Sandoval’s vitriol attacks… not only one time, but [three] times!”

And shortly thereafter, Kristen Doute shed more light on the situation, which took place at an event for Katie and Ariana Madix‘s sandwich shop.

“He said, ‘Shut the f-ck up,’” Kristen revealed on her podcast, Sex, Love and What Else Matters. “I was so appalled that Schwartz would not — for one time, Tom Schwartz — you step in, and you go, ‘Dude, you do not speak to my ex-mother-in-law [like that].’”

The three-part Vanderpump Rules season 10 reunion begins next Wednesday, May 24, at 9/8c on Bravo.
