Back at the end of April Sony confirmed that PS VR2 would soon be available at retailers. And although at the time the company didn’t mention a specific day, it turns out that that day is today, May 12. Since its initial launch, no retailers outside of Sony’s own PlayStation Direct online shop were carrying the PS VR2. But as of today you can pick up the VR headset at Best Buy and a number of other retailers in the US. Other regions will also have the headset available at their own local big box retailers.

So check with your local retailers if you live outside the US. It should also be available online outside of PlayStation Direct. Though we don’t have a specific list of where it can be purchased as Sony doesn’t seem to mention one.

PS VR2 comes to Best Buy and other retailers in the US

If you don’t already own a PS VR2, now’s you chance to buy one. Best Buy is selling both the standard headset at $549.99 as well as the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle at $599.99.

There’s also a chance that the Best Buy nearest to you will have some in stock at the store physically. So make sure to head to the website and place your order to be ready for pickup. In some cases, there may not be any at the store but you can still buy one and have it ready for pickup in the following week.

You should also be able to find the headset at other places like GameStop, and of course Amazon. Though stock may vary for you depending on when you check. Obviously the best case scenario is to buy one, drive to the store and pick it up that same day. But even if that isn’t possible at least you can now buy the headset at other retailers.
