Kim Zolciak has just been spotted for the first time since filing for divorce from her husband Kroy Biermann after 11 years of marriage.
Before the Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who was previously featured with her family on Don’t Be Tardy, was seen looking thin as she attempted to learn how to play Fortnite, an insider confirmed the couple’s oldest daughters, Brielle Biermann, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21, don’t plan to cut ties with the former NFL player, despite Brielle seemingly unfollowing him on Instagram.
“All the kids are still in contact with Kroy,” an insider revealed to PEOPLE on May 10. “There is no drama between Brielle, Ariana, and Kroy yet. They want to have a relationship with him, and Kim supports that.”
After Kim and Kroy tied the knot in November 2011, Kroy adopted Brielle and Ariana, who Kim welcomed during previous relationships, in 2013.
The ex-couple also welcomed four children, including 11-year-old Kroy “KJ” Jagger, 10-year-old Kash Kade, and nine-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren.
As RHOA fans may have heard, Kim and Kroy appear to be embarking on a custody battle over their brood, with Kroy filing for primary legal and physical custody in his petition for divorce (Kim wanted joint legal).
“She’s not cutting the kids off from Kroy,” a source close to Kim explained. “She wants him to be involved as their dad.”
According to reports, Kim and Kroy’s breakup was something the mother of six had been planning for “a long time.”
“She had not told anyone, not even family,” a pal previously shared with PEOPLE. “She didn’t tell anyone, even [her] friends were kept in the dark.”
The insider went on to note that “money has been a huge issue” for Kim and Kroy, appearing to give the nod to the February foreclosure of their mansion and the $1.1 million they owe the IRS in back taxes.
“There’s no cheating on either side. The money has a lot to do with the split, but there were other factors,” a separate insider said. “He’s been managing [the family] for a long time, so he technically did have a job. They’re not on good terms right now.”
As she attempts to navigate what may turn out to be a messy divorce, Kim was recently seen in a video shot by a friend.
“It is time for Kim to learn how to play Fortnite since Brielle doesn’t acknowledge me for hours,” Kim told the woman, named Elizabeth, in an Instagram Story. “Where’s that thing? Isn’t there like a f-cking thing on here you pull down so you can talk to it? Is that it?”
And, as Kim showed off her thin frame in a white top and black pants, Elizabeth told her, “Oh, it’s on backwards!”
