The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Crystal Kung Minkoff is speaking about how the departure of veteran Lisa Rinna after season 12 has paved the way for a much different season 13 of RHOBH. She’s also discussing the impact it’s had on her friendships with her castmates.
While speaking to RadarOnline, Crystal informed the outlet her relationships with co-stars Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne have especially been impacted.
“Yes. That one’s a yes,” she said. “Then again, everyone is different with someone not there. I’m different.”
When pressed on if she thought filming feels lighter this season because of Lisa’s exit Crystal stated, “I don’t know … but I’m just a different person walking in.”
The reality star added that everyone seems “tighter” following season 12’s “especially dark” storylines.
“I’d say some of my relationships have gotten much tighter,” Crystal said, but she was quick to add that she does see her own share of drama this season. “I’m not going to talk about the drama, but I have some stuff going on right now.”
Crystal remained mum on the exact details surrounding what’s currently going down as the ladies are in the middle of filming season 13, but we do know that OG Kim Richards, Denise Richards, and Teddi Mellencamp have returned to film scenes.
Unfortunately, Crystal can confirm that “friend of” Kathy Hilton has not returned to the series amid reports that she has no plans to film as her feud with sister Kyle continues.
“She hasn’t yet but we’re halfway [done filming the season] or something like that,” Crystal told the outlet on Saturday while attending the Homeless Not Toothless event hosted by Dorit Kemsley alongside her co-stars.
As for whether there is hope for Kathy’s return, Crystal said that it’s simply not her decision to make.
“Yeah. Here’s the thing, I don’t know. I see Kathy off-camera so whether she’s on that’s really their thing.” She added, “I hope she comes back on. I think it’d be awesome.”
Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently in production.
