The first day of summer has officially come and gone. At the beginning of every new season, I always wonder what trends fashion people love for the season ahead. With summer, there are certain trends you can anticipate making a comeback (they return every year). This summer, however, new trends have emerged that I definitely didn’t see coming. After combing through the Instagram accounts of my favorite It girls and fashion people, it’s clear that five chic trends will reign supreme for summer 2023.

One fabric reigns supreme every summer: linen. Whether it’s linen pants or a linen dress, this breathable fabric is a well-loved favorite for a reason. It’s chic, comfortable, and lightweight.
