sizzling meal straight off the chef’s corner is a top pick and a topic. All eyes are unanimously fixed on it in anticipation, leaving many with the options: to devour or recreate. In our case, it’s a sartorial meal with our favorite celebrities dishing out well-thought-out looks all to the enjoyment of hungry eyes ready to pin these appealing renderings to their famished boards. Indeed, last week saw a gush of celebrities flocking in and out of the carpets in worthy ensembles ready to take on the new year.

Events like the Book of Clarence movie premiere, the Creative Arts Emmys, the Palm Spring Film Festival, and Lebron James’ Studio 84-themed party gave the week a stylish pop. And to crown it all was the 81st Golden Globe Awards in honor of a significant year for cinema that also served as a notable opening for award season.

The Looks

Black was a prominent hue on the 2024 Golden Globes Awards carpet with asymmetric silhouettes and a good dose of elbow-length gloves to combat the cold while staying stylish. Singer Andra Day was sensational in a Georges Chakra number with an asymmetric hem cascading into a flowy train. The mono sleeve held a floral detail on the shoulder that played up the flirty hem. She paired this with sheer gloves, matching pumps, and diamonds, because, why not?

Beyoncé attended Lebron James’ Studio 84-themed party alongside Jay-Z, and it’s safe to say she was a pink light to behold. Bey opted for a Missoni stretch mini dress with shimmering drawstrings. The high-neck, zigzag-print dress sat pretty on her frame, while the Valentino platform heels introduced a Gen-Z vibe to the getup. Styled with embellished Tiffany & Co. sunglasses and a studded Valentino handbag, the queen brought the Beyoncé appeal to Barbiecore.

During her Color Purple movie rounds, Taraji P. Henson has been on a bold streak, speaking her truth and dressing the part. Last week, we saw even more of this as the star sizzled in monochrome. In one instance, she dazzled in a golden take featuring a draped Alexandre Vauthier look for the pre-Golden Globe party. In another, she pleaded guilty to pink overdose in an Atelier Zuhra ensemble to celebrate her Emmy nomination.
