here’s nothing more interesting for the world of fashion than when a lineup of events finds its way packed into one week, and last week was one such. The 2023 Vogue World happened, and outlandish ensembles and unique representations reigned supreme. Then the MTV VMAs and New York Fashion Week brought celebrities to the front rows and resurrected trends to the spotlight. The most dynamic expressions of fashion gave rise to fresh fads for the seasons ahead.
The Looks
As the cold weather season returns, the velvet trend is slowly making its way back to fashion scenes. Top model, Winnie Harlow was spotted on the 2023 Vogue World carpet in a black velvet Zuhair Murad frock. The exaggerated white cape and black gloves added more oomph to the elegant number. No doubt, Harlow’s look was one of the night’s best renderings.
Whoever said the beautiful ones are not yet born must have lived decades ago. There was so much beauty and splendor splattered across the NYFW streets, and actress Marsai Martin was on the list. The star was adorned in one of Christopher John Rogers’ befitting designs for his New York Fashion Week show. The youthful frock, cinched at the waist, cascaded freely in a ball-like form, evoking regal ideas. Martin’s side-part hairdo and chunky earrings delivered a pertinent lady-like appearance.
